I like the name you gave him, Hari Puttar...lol. Is this the same place as you mentioned below. These potter's are now relegated to craft shows/places and one day it will become a dieing art too with everything being replaced by plastic.

Yes, this too has been shot @ DakshinaChitra.

Well, Lalooji has banned plastic cups in Railways...so its all of these clay tumblers for hot cups of tea n kaapi....But yeah overall ofcourse, the art is fading away..more so..as now for Diwali, we in India get all sorts of fancy diyas/candles...yaad hai voh din jab hum yeh chote chote diye use karte thee...with cotton & oil :)

Ohh yeah even We love Our traditional ways...& hope that they carry on to transfer the art from one gen to the next..We both tried our hand @ the potter's wheel ..it was fun!!!
