Is this the Banyan tree from Pondicherry? Looks so old and majestic na. There is something about these trees that make them so fascinating and 'Indian'...

yeah this pic is taken @ Auroville ...I used to be soo scared of Banyan trees as a kid...my cousins used to tell such scary ghost stories all revolving around a banyan tree...

We used to have Banyan Tree in our house in Meerut. It was a big house about 2 acres in space and tree had a massive bee-hive but what was below the tree is what was scary....a snake hole, where it is believed a cobra used to live but only would come out on Nagpanchmi...one day a child went missing...and and....
